Villa Las Nubes

A Villa Floating in the Heart of a Forest

Light, fragmented, and elevated, the house moves between the pines, adapting to the spaces they leave behind. A suspended journey through trunks and canopies, where living in the forest becomes an aerial and continuous experience.

This project began with a radical premise: not to touch the trees. No excavation, no cutting roots, no disrupting the forest. The answer? To fly.

By elevating the house above the slope, we achieved more than just preserving all 133 Mediterranean pines—we rose above the constraints of the site. Originally facing east and with no sea views, the plot seemed limited. But by lifting the architecture to the height of the canopies, the home opens toward the south and the distant sea, embracing light and perspective.

The access level was carefully calibrated to ensure both privacy from the street above and visual connection with the landscape. The result is a light, suspended, and respectful dwelling that redefines its place through height and flow.

The floor plan adapts to the spaces left between the trees: an organic, fragmented layout that shifts and hovers to avoid disturbing the forest.

Volumes float, detach, and reconnect via courtyards and full-height sliding glass walls, dissolving the line between interior and exterior.

In a region where altering the land is standard practice, Las Nubes offers a new way of understanding luxury: no special foundations, no clearing, no compromises. Just architecture that rises, reconnects with nature, and reveals what was previously hidden.
