Villa La Vela
A Hidden Outdoors Haven
The project is developed with a play of levels, seeking maximum luminosity and visual within a plot with a northwest-southeast slope: three volumes that make up the different plants are arranged and rotated so as never to rise above the ground and not to alter the visual of the existing nature. In this way we achieve a villa integrated into the plot and adapted to the existing orography.
The projected house has a basement, ground floor, second floor and access floor, with covered and uncovered terraces, as well as an outdoor swimming pool located southeast of the house.
In the basement there is a large games room - wine cellar that connects the spa and gym area, where we have an indoor pool, a cinema room and the auxiliary uses of the house. Most of the basement is buried, except for the overhanging gym.
On the first floor we have a main pedestrian access through a large glass door that leads to the entrance of the house in double height.
Moving on to the common areas, we find the living room and kitchen, covered terraces with bar and barbecue area; open terraces, on the volume that overhangs the basement, where the solarium and pool are located.
On the second floor are located the private uses: bedrooms with independent open covered terraces. On this floor is projected the flat roof that surrounds the common areas of the first floor.
In this way, the main idea is that the house is fully integrated into the plot, touching as little as possible the orography of the plot to be minimally invasive, respecting the existing trees and flora.
